“I’m asking you to believe—not in my ability to create change, but in yours,” wrote once the US ex-President, Barack Obama. Now he’s about to channel his goals of a better world through a Master curriculum offered for emerging leaders by his foundation, reads their website.
The Obama Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created by the ex-President of the United, Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama. Their mission is to encourage, help and engage young leaders in activities for the good of the community.
Obama’s Foundation and the University of Chicago collaborated to establish a newly designed curriculum, dedicated to future community leaders. 25 young rising leaders from the whole world will have the chance to obtain a master’s degree in leadership in a renowned University.
These scholars will be awarded a one-year full scholarship to pursue a Master Degree in International Development and Policy at Harris School of Public Policy in Chicago. Through one year of an excellent theoretical education, these students will also have the chance to engage with leaders in different communities around Chicago.
The Program aims to strengthen students’ leadership skills and will help to effectively practice their knowledge when they will return to their home and try making a difference. As the Foundation states the deadline for application is 10 April 2018.
